Give a Little Bit

When you’re building a new habit, it’s important to remember that even baby steps make a difference. Some weeknights, we might only get fifteen minutes outside, before we head inside for our dinner and bedtime routine. But that’s fifteen minutes of fresh air, giant leaps, and shouts of laughter.

If you’re working to build an outside play habit, the book Fifteen Minutes Outside: 365 Ways to Get Out of the House and Connect with Your Kids by Rebecca Cohen is a great resource.  Cohen also has a blog that’s worth checking out.

Today, we were happy to spend a couple of hours outside after school. Happy Friday!

  1. I’m very behind on the blog commenting, but I’ve been reading. Outdoor time is huge with us – unless it’s really, really awful, we spend time outside every day. As the weather gets better, we can spend the whole day out there. EVERYONE does better outside. And they get super creative! I love it!
